Jon Green, Adaptive Change
Jon spent an enjoyable and varied 20 years in the British Royal Navy where his broad career involved him in various operational zones around the world.
As well as his sea going appointments much of his career was spent as an intelligence officer operating with UK multi-agencies as well as within multinational commands at the strategic, operational and tactical levels.
Before joining the NHS on an executive fast track Jon spent 2 years at the center of media operations in the UK MoD supporting Ministers of State whilst also working with journalists and TV crews.
On leaving the military he was able to use his leadership and command skills combined with his academic studies from MBA and Financial Masters degrees to good effect in Health and Social Care having been selected for the NHS Executive fast track program.
Adaptability and teamwork are the vital components in dealing with crisis, and now as an experienced hospital Trust Chief Executive and Executive Operations Officer in the NHS this is reflected in his pragmatic leadership and careful management of resources. This was utilized to good effect in his work as Operational lead for Nightingale/Surge response across the East of England region in the first stages of the pandemic.
His understanding of the strain that the Covid pandemic has imposed on the NHS and Social Care organizationally, at a granular level of detail and the human pressures inflicted on frontline workers, is invaluable in identifying practical solutions which have a big impact.
